Who we are and where are we from?

......My name is Adam, and my wife’s name is Barbara. I was born 5 years, and one day after WWII had ended. Barbara was born 1350 days later. So how old are we? – well, you have to calculate......

           ……..In 1964 I became a member of sporting yacht club, and for the next 4 years, every spare day I’ve spent sailing, and working in our clubhouse. The yacht club, and clubhouse was located near a small lake Ruda, in my hometown Rybnik……

           ……..I met Barbara in 1969, and I’ve just started University, and she's just entered High School. We were dating for four most wonderful years. After her graduation, I became an electrical engineer, and we got married in 1973. Our first son Robert was born in 1974, and Lukas – the youngest son was born in 1977……

           ……..In 1989 Barbara got her "chance of a lifetime", emigration to Canada, where at first she work as a babysitter – for a couple of months. She left Poland on the 17th day of December in 1989 – right before Christmas. In the meantime I had to wait three long years to see her again, when she visited Poland in 1992. Between 1989 and 1992 she was waiting for a landed emigrant visa in Canada, and I was waiting for my Canadian landed visa in Poland. We were reunited on the 5th day of July in 1992, a couple days after Canada Day. At that time Canada was 125 year young. As I mentioned before We have two sons; Robert and Lukas, and the family started a new life in a new country……..

.....Currently we live in Pickering, a small town located 25km east of Toronto.....





           ………Both of us are working for the same company in Toronto. Barbara is working as a manager assistant in production department, and I’m working as a product developer for Research, and Development department. Our company – SciCan - is manufacturing small dentist sterilizers, and is distributing this product around the world……..

           ………..Years of hard work has brought us to the point, when we manage to buy a small house where we live together with my father, who has recently arrived from Poland. I almost forgot to introduce our dog named Fletcher, who is a mixture of a hunting dog, and a ? ………
